Overcast. Lots of activity on the docks. Commercial fishermen’s boats moored three deep and getting ready for July 1st opening. Jamie took Pat and Betty, while David and I went in Peaire and we went east to see two whales breaching…unfortunately we are having camera trouble. Unbelievable to watch. It was pouring down rain and we didn’t notice. Guys caught more halibut. Took the boardwalk to the inner harbour. There is a pub, hardware, fishing guides, lodge, laundry and good grocery store. Went gunkholing out in the swells saw whales, otters, old light stations, keyholes in the rocks and huge swells, but no puffins for David. Marko made a great fish and chip dinner. He also shared with the fishermen. There was a good party on the dock and because we were rafted several deep, Bob had a few drunks stomping across his head while sleeping at 2am.
