Overcast. Slept in. We heard “Over the Edge” starting at 5am and had to quickly walk Scupper and get off by 5:10 am. Whiting Harbour busy with lots of sports fishermen going out. We crossed Salisbury Sound and into the open Pacific. Rollers. Piehle Passage on Chichagof Island very rocky, shallow and tricky. Sunny. Lots of little islands. Just beautiful. On to Slocum and past Elbow. We saw deer, sea lions and lots of otters. Through Ogden, Surveyor, Imperial Passages and out into the Pacific again to Liasianski Passage. Raining now. Mike wanted to stop at White Sulphur Springs. (Next time.) Lisianski Strait to Pelican. Moorage twenty dollars. Boardwalks and lots of little stores. Found Rose’s Bar and spent the rest of the afternoon there. Quite the bar. We met Rose. She has been here since 1973. Dollars and writing on the ceiling. Watch out when you put something up on the ceiling she pulls your pants down. The locals (her other customers) pitched in to serve us. We had a lot of fun. Hamburgers and fries are delicious.
