Old Light Ship

Whale's Tail

A blustery and sunny day.  Had Mitsy and Tom from Fremont on for a visit. Some got fuel at Ketchikan.  We travelled along the shore of Tongass Narrows.  Saw old light ship and barges.  Went passed Mud Bay where the totems were yesterday.  Seems we may have missed a few at one end.  Across Clarence Strait, heading into a one to two foot chop.   Passed the Guard Island lighthouse.
Flat trip into Kasaan Bay on Prince of Wales Island.  Good docks.  All tied up.  Free.  Gunked around to the totems and long house.  A must see in Alaska.  They look a little worse for wear since we were here three years ago.   Followed the trail further we discovered a very old grave site.   David worried about the Hollis Ferry waves so back to the big boats.  Good wind buffeted our boats and waves went over the docks.
