Overcast. Out passed the Dryad Pt Lighthouse and west on Seaforth. BC ferry coming into Shearwater. Travelling past Boat Bay on Reid Passage then turned left and north on Mathieson Channel. Jackson Passage very narrow and shallow down to eleven feet. Joined the rest of our flotilla on Finlayson Channel.
Just in front of two humpback whales. They headed right toward us and under “Oceanaire”. WOW! Got pictures without the telephoto lens as they dove under. WOW! Reached the end of Khutze and headed straight to the waterfall on the south side. Was going to walk the dog, but momma grizzly and cub were there first. Not too bothered by us or our boats. Anchored and gunked up the river. Just beautiful. The wild flowers are just starting to bloom. Back to the boats for lamb dinner on Ladner Lass. What a great day!
