The Elusive Whale Shot

Under way at 5:15am. Heading toward Prince Rupert. Travelling along McKay Reach and Gill Island where our B.C. ferry sunk and the Hartley Bay native rescued all on board. North on Grenville Channel. This is a very long channel with snow capped mountains on either side. The “Northern Expedition” another B.C. Ferry passed us going south. Lots of people waving. At the entrance of Lowe Inlet we were entertained by a family of orca whales. This is a very long day-over twelve hours running.
